See below for full details of this great weekend

The Regional Gathering for Queensland and Northern NSW is an annual event that rotates between the region's 3 groups, although  because of covid it was way back in 2019 that we last had a gathering!

A very long wait! So we are very excited to annouce this gathering, which will be at the Subud Sunshine Coast group's property in North Arm.

This event has been organised to make it as flexibile as possible both financially and logistically so as to allow as many people as possible to attend.

And of course all Subud members, not just those in the region, are invited. So near or far come and enjoy a great weekend, or longer if you want to check out Noosa, and our other great beaches and holiday destinations.

Attendance Options

The weekend will start at 3pm on Friday and finish at midday on Sunday. So if you wish to come for the whole event please do or if you would just like to drive up and back in one day and just attend on Saturday, absolutely, whatever works for you.

Pricing

As the event will be held at the group's property it means no venue hire cost, and for food it will be at a cost only basis. This will be $15 a meal, so if you attend the whole event that will be $45 for the 3 meals provided - see below section "Food' for meal itinery. Additionally if you need accomodation you will be responsible for booking that, see below.

Accommodation

There is no onsite accomodation, however there are many Airbnb's nearby with lots of good options. The event isnt at a peak time and if you book ahead there are lots of good options especially if you share with other members, for example see picture below, a Airbnb 5 minutes drive away for  $202 a night for 3 bedrooms.

Also lots of good of camping options. Including an excellent option only 7 minute drive away at Hidden Valley with camping cost of only $45 for a couple per night. See http://hiddenvalleyfarm.com.au/ (picture below). Or if  you prefer the beach lifestyle very good camp sites on the beach at Coolum or on the Estuary at Noosa. Note that when i checked today (12th feb) that website link wasnt working for the hidden valley campsite, so their numbr is 0432 040751 and their fb page is https://www.facebook.com/gromadplantations/ in case you want to message them, also there is this tripadvisore link https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Hotel_Review-g677831-d14010681-Reviews-Hidden_Valley-Yandina_Sunshine_Coast_Queensland.html

These will be prepared on site, so please come prepared to help out and volunteer to help prepare or wash up for one of those meals as many hands make light work. We have a fully equiped kitchen and the food supplies will be there all ready to go. Specific dietary requirements will be catered for, but please do tell us in advance, use the diet requirements box on the registery form which is at the bottom of this page.

Cost per meal is $15pp ($7.50 for junior school kids and younger)  Please specify on the register form which meals you want to partake in. (Note : Money will be due in early March so that we have confirmed numbers for the meals before we purchase the food.

The Program

This will be a mix of latihan, kedjiwaan, eating, socialising and general 'hanging out' and enjoying each others company. And of course there will be  entertainment, as our members have such wonderful talents, so bring your instrument, bring your voice pack your dancing shoes and dust off your jokes and 'skits'. I can't promise that you'll get to experience the "Ned Kelly plays poker" skit put I know this Talent's agent so I'll put a word in their ear!

The Surrounding Area

In case you're not familiar with where the group property is .... it is 25 minutes drive North to Noosa and the national parks and about the same heading east to the beaches at Coolum and Mudjimba, same again to Maroocydoore and Mooloolaba and 5 minutes away is the "world famous" Eumundi Markets, (although to be honest I think that's a Queenslander exageration, they arent quite as famous as that!)
